Thanks for asking. I don't generally share my scripts with people I don't know, to avoid future complications, but send me an email and we'll see what we can do.

According to the Internet Archive's Way Back Machine this guy should have some answers. http://www.tesg.org/

You can see the site as it was here:
http://web.archive.org/web/20101220050554/http://notfoolinganybody.com/

Then go to the "Field Guide" for where the names are.

Hey, thanks for the shout out, and the great post. One thing -- "Mechanical Turk" is actually a wonderfully apt name. It refers to the phony automaton created by Wolfgang von Kempelen in 1770. (Yes, I had to check wikipedia for those particular facts --
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Turk ). It pretended to be a chess-playing robot, essentially, and wowed spectators until it was revealed to be hiding a person inside who was actually choosing the moves and operating the machine.

This Amazon service is similar, in that it presents a facade of automation (and the ease of integration with truly systematic processes that goes along with it) over actual human intelligence. In essence, it too is hiding a person in a machine.

At first, I wanted to thank you for letting us know that there were unaired episodes of Better Off Ted on Netflix. Now that I watched them, I'm pissed at you for making me remember what an awesome show this was and that there aren't any more of them. Thanks, Seth.

I knew George Peck back in the late '70s--one amazing abstract painter. The surface and color fields he created --always made me think more of Rothko than Kelly. You are very lucky to have those fine fine paintings --hope you get to hang them again -- they should be out and on view!
